Lames 5

Vertical and horizontal, between the floor and walls, Olivier Sévère's floating “Lames” (Blades) further his questioning on sculpture, its form and gravity, the very origin of the materials used by the artist and their relationship to the geological and landscape formation.
Patiently selected for their physical and visual attributes, the fine stones that make up this series only reveal themselves from the inside. They are cut, polished and assembled using the "open book" - "libre aperto" technique which, through vertical symmetry, offers a new interpretation of the mineral, its formation and of a possible location.
