SINOPLE • inaugural exhibition of the gallery

Still lifes

Sinople opens its permanent gallery on 16 October 2021 with the exhibition Still lifes.

After his proposals oriented by the “Wunderkammer” and then by the interiorization of natural spaces and its components for “Inner landscape”, SINOPLE inaugurates its gallery with “Still lifes”, third part of the research theme “Collectible Nature”.

The exhibition brings together artistic creations from all horizons around 4 volumes in glass or ceramic and 4 plant textile sculptures which introduce an immersion in 4 objects or subjects of inspiration recurrent in this kind of pictorial expression. In 4 scenes, it evokes a subjective idea of vanity, floral composition, abundance and the allegorical value of water.

At the same time, SINOPLE has chosen to entrust the design of the gallery’s Archives space to Edgar Jayet, winner with Victor Fleury Ponsin of the Van Cleef & Arpels Grand Prix and of the Eyes on Talent x Frame award at Design Parade Toulon 2021. He invests the space with a proposal where antiques come to dialogue with the works of the gallery.

Hôtel de Retz – 9, Charlot Paris III
a permanent space

In the heart of the Haut-Marais, on the first floor of a 17th century hotel particulier, the gallery is a discreet, confidential space, conducive to exchanges between the fine, decorative and applied arts.

In addition to the current exhibitions, in an intimate space dedicated to and freely interpreted by invited personalities, collectors will also be able to discover or rediscover “the Archives”: pieces from previous exhibitions, a selection of antique objects and a material library made up of innovative samples proposed by the gallery’s designers.
