« Midsummer » : a design curation on the theme of the harvest at the Sinople gallery

Celebrating the harvest and the cycles of the earth, the exhibition brings together the work of a number of artists linked by their shared attachment to the tactile work of craftsmanship. Designer Ferréol Babin is in the spotlight, with an exclusive collaboration on the subject of bread and bread-making. These are unique sculpted objects, carved from wood with poetic precision. Echoing these pieces, Flemish designer Joris Verstrepen – on show for the first time in France – unveils an essential, timeless repertoire of aluminium, schist and linen from Flanders. Curated by the gallery’s founders, Julien Strypsteen and Eric-Sébastien Faure-Lagorce, “Midsummer” is an ode to the elements, traditional skills and their fundamental value in contemporary art and design.
