La Cinétek

If finding a (good) film to watch on traditional VOD platforms is often an exercise if not perilous at least time-consuming, finding a classic is a feat! Mission accomplished thanks to La Cinétek, an initiative founded by three famous French directors: Pascale Ferran, Cédric Klapisch and Laurent Cantet.

La Cinétek‘s ambition is to offer great films that have all, in their own way, marked the history of 20th century cinema. La Cinétek thus offers for purchase or rental famous films that are difficult to find, forgotten films, singular films, legendary hits and flops…

In reaction to the lack of legal offer available on the internet for so-called “heritage” films, they have thus imagined a selection of films from all over the world with a strong and constantly renewed editorial angle, the films being chosen and presented by directors from all over the world. The films are chosen and presented by directors from all over the world. A great deal of space is thus given over to discovery and curiosity.

We are thus surprised by the eclecticism of John Woo (Demy, Kubrick, Truffaut, Bergman, Scorsese…), the chic classicism of Arnaud Desplechin (Lubitsch, Huston, Hitchkock, Hawks, Cukor…), the inspirations of Agnès Jaoui (Renoir, Rohmer, Moretti…), among others. The site also offers fascinating monthly thematic selections and a Hidden Treasures section.

Sinople choice
