Gifts ⋅ Christmas at the gallery
For the festive season, SINOPLE shows a new display in keeping with its principle of breaking down barriers between disciplines, welcomes two new creators and organises artistic encounters.
From 1 December, a selection of:
contemporary jewellery,
art books,
photography,
pieces of furniture,
lighting…
Among this selection, SINOPLE is presenting for the first time the work of Joanne Grimonprez and her jewellery/sculptures fashioned from diverted industrial elements, as well as that of photographer Marguerite Bornhauser, whose approach, somewhere between figuration and abstraction, puts colour in the foreground.
The gallery is also extending its collaboration with art book publisher Atelier EXB, bringing together books whose themes resonate with those of Sinople.
Two special highlights:
– On Saturday 9 December, SINOPLE and Marine Billet will be at the gallery to create unique, made-to-measure jewellery from the “Secondes peaux” collection, from 10:00 to 18:00 (fingerprinting lasting around 45 minutes).
– On Saturday 16 December (from 15:00), photographer Marguerite Bornhauser will be signing her book When black is burned, just published by Simple éditions.
