Sempervirens
Through a selection of objects and materials chosen for their environmental, aesthetic and technical qualities, the new JAD (Jardin des métiers d’art et du design) exhibition, Sempervirens, approaches eco-design from the angle of design and crafts.
Studio Corkinho’s cork pieces will be on display throughout the exhibition.
It questions the manufacturing process of the objects, the origin of the materials, their modes of transformation and their ennoblement. This exhibition is aimed at all those who, concerned to see our society evolve towards a more virtuous future, wonder about the origin and destiny of the objects that make up our daily lives. For both, it proposes to look into the “matter of invention” to paraphrase Ezio Manzini in his eponymous book.
